Q: When will I be able to practise as a consultant?
A: Assuming you have the necessary tools and premises to stage your first consultation, then you will be able to start your business immediately you have finished the entire course; although my guess is that you will probably start practising on your poor, unsuspecting friends and family while you're learning!
The training course will teach you to be a colour consultant. As soon as you've finished your course you'll be able to dive straight in and start draping people madly. Assuming that you have the props, you'll be ready straight away.
We don't run a franchise and you can source your products from wherever you want to but we have an extensive online catalogue for a whole host of products - a huge range of drapes, wallets, capes, colour wheels, etc. - all at wholesale prices. Assuming you've got all those things, you'll be able to set up as a colour consultant the minute you've finished our Colour Analysis course.
Here are some suggestions as to what you might need to be ready to analyse your first client:
Drapes and Wallets
To run your colour consultations, you will probably need a minimum of a selection of drapes, a cover-up cape plus four Seasonal wallets and/or the six Tonal wallets. You are free to source your own drapes and wallets, so these are not included in the course fees.
However, the following is a suggestion only for starting out, all at wholesale prices:
| Qty | Item | Each | Total |
| 60 | Seasonal starter drapes | 2.21 | 132.60 |
| 2 | Gold & silver drapes | 2.21 | 4.42 |
| 1 | cover-up cape | 10.30 | 10.30 |
| 4 | Ladies' seasonal fans | 10.04 | 40.16 |
| 6 | Ladies' tonal fans | 7.15 | 42.90 |
| Net | 230.38 | ||
| VAT @ 17.5% (where applicable) | 40.32 | ||
| Total | 270.70 |

One-Time Investment
The wallets contain swatches of fabric which exactly match the drapes. They are precision dyed and are a one-off purchase. I have never needed to replace a drape yet; I have the same ones from over 20 years ago. My cover-up cape is still going strong after 18 years of constant washing and I have only had to replace my Seasonal fabric fans once in the same period. I have had my Tonal wallets for 7 years and they still look good enough for presentations. You can see full colour images of the wallets that we make available to the public at retail prices.
Ordering drapes, wallets, etc.
You can order any of the above from our online wholesale catalogue (and any further drapes, wallets, etc) at any time, and be able to supply your clients with a fabulous choice of colour wallets at retail, thus making a profit for yourself.
To purchase image and colour consultant supplies from our online trade catalogue at wholesale prices you must first register your details and apply online for an account. This is totally free and you can register now (just make a note in the Additional Information box that you are reading this website and thinking about possible training).
Other Items to Consider
These are all covered in the course itself but it might be an idea to consider mirrors, seating for your clients, how you are going to display your wallets (a table?), a spinner to hold your drapes, skin care and make-up products, etc.
There are lots of other items for your consideration within the wholesale catalogue - a plethora of colour swatches, capes, drapes, drape sets, colour-coded make-up, etc.
You may also be thinking about business cards, leaflets, advertising, maybe even a website. Most of this is covered in the actual course itself plus there will be lots of other hints and tips to help you set your business up.
